Car Caboose

As a young man growing up in the sixties, does not match the thrill of my Train Set. I mean nothing. I was the engineer, the director, and the van operator tail. There was nothing that could not be, not that I could not go. The world, as they say, was my oyster and I was going to enjoy every minute of it. It was a time for me as a child and so far I think I sometimes what of those days.
Yes, today we have the Wii and X-Box and the small hand held systems like the DS and all that reality Cyber things. But you know what? STILL does not exceed the sound of that engine is old Chug-Chug for me while I was sitting there or the shrill sound of the whistle.
This brings me to today and Hornby Trains. A legend comes to us courtesy of the big pond full of old Spain. In fact, a city famous for something else as well, the Beatles, but that's another story.
The attention to detail in one of these trains Hornby is extraordinary. As I look reminds me of what was true craft must be for everything you did today, but that happens.
As with all good things, they face stiff competition from the rise of plastics and things like that threatened with bankruptcy in the late fifties and the company struggled and left it. They continued to face adversity and persistence in overcoming the challenges of the least expensive models made by competitors who were sent from Mexico and abroad, where labor was cheaper.
Again they entered the nineties, the company faces challenges in the form of foreign competition that once again threatened to engulf the company. Again, the adjusting and came out stronger than ever. Hornby Trains has a reputation for making a train very solid and detailed, is the reputation that has served them well in the past and continues serving well today, and all observations will continue to do well as we move forward.
Are the trains of this size, suitable for everyone? Of course not. I mean I have a nephew who would most likely destroy in an hour, of course, can destroy anything within an hour. But certainly, if you is someone who enjoys the finer things in life. If you remember the rain of her youth and very long for that feeling again. Then there is a strong possibility that the property Hornby Trains a whole can only be exactly what the doctor did, or for your sanity.
Make some hot cocoa, put on his hat striped engineers and flip the switch of that big old train and just listen to it chug, whistle and blow some steam and you're back to seven years without a care in the world. Now, where was to let the last piece of thread?

How can you imagine a diesel-electric tractive effort?
I am building a Model Railway with a ruling class 3 - 3.5%. Time is early fall 1979 (or late winter 1981). My file consists of 3 GP9s powered main 567D3A rated 2500hp. 2 Alco protected areas and 3 PBs 1800hp 251 equipped with main engines, and 3 to 10 SD35s. My trains will consist of 2-12 cars + caboose. I want to run up to 45 car trains. Most traffic will be composed of / timber forest products, automotive, and rock quarries within 3 online. I found a site with Army HPx30 = Equasis some traction out: HPx300/speed = TE and No Car = TE / [3 + (Grade 20xruling%)] xWeight Car also has included tables for the weight of the car taking into accout friction and drag as a car 70Ton be 105 in the equation and would 120T 160 Tons. Does this sound right? or do I need to find a table somewhere with similar grades and use their pictures TE or what? Thank you in advance for any assistance.
Rolling resistance train formula: HPT x 12 /% G = S, or the time of 12 horses per ton divided by the percentage of grade is General Division of the Oregon old MS. Grade decision was 3.1 percent. Timon tonnage 2700 tonnes max. Units were SD-40's and 45's and have been evaluated to 900 tonnes per unit. But the golden rule in railroading the real world, about 25% weight locomotive is what will be developed for traction. Thus, a locomotive that tipped the balance of £ 400,000 to train at least 100,000 f / lb. Actually, about 40 or 45 on average off 105,000 f / lbs. traction. I never met a GP-9 2500 hp. Everything I ever ran was 1800 HP. Thus, at 1800 hp each, not your three jeeps manages nearly 1350 tons max, the 3% grade. Your Alco would then handle 2250 tonnes on a slope of 3%. I'm running 70 Car Train on my dress with little need auxiliary power. I found that if the power is distributed according to real world formuli Training Aids staff with the assistance 2/3s propels 1 / 3 of the total tonnage of assistants, support will not push cars ahead of the runway. You sound like a purist, but are not protected areas Alco torn long before '79? They tried to use some new Alcos obsolete (can not remember not the model) that the engines of the court in Roseville in the mid 70s, but rigid trucks, designed for rail main line, would simply to stay on track in the yard. If you watched the eyes that squint they fall off the track ..... But they were nice on the road, drove well, and with the notch 16 of throttling the power could be better regulated. I think I have manuals for operators of these creatures around here somewhere. Drop me a line and I'll try to get more dope for you .........
