and they are really superior. They are comparatively expensive in the U.S. but well worth the expense.
Kato is the superior team, but only the manufacturing American and Japanese models, not European as far as I know. Roco theme which I believe is Nickel Silver. I only used the N gauge, not the HO, and that was all nickel silver. It sounds like you're in the right direction.
Remember that although the tracks from different manufacturers may use different manufacturers exchange couplers very different. / 12 V CC OO HO trains need to have speed control and a reversing switch. The 16VAC is only for accessories, lights, switches or points of diversion. Never attempt to connect the tracks running and madmen to alternating current - which could be burning engines.
I know the Media South Moon ran until Amtrak in the 1970s. I think it worked in the Southern Railway before it merged with the Norfolk and Western become Norfolk Southern. Probably for the 1950 or 60 Diesel Locomotives to be either E8, the PA1, or DL109. I think there are cars and diesel locomotives southern green and white. The South also had steam engines, 4-6-2s and 4-8-2s, painted green, which could be used. Products Riva Rossi has had mixed reviews over the years.
I doubt that any reality is compared with modern equipment, such as Proto 2000 or Ahearn Genesis. You probably do not have motors with 5 pole skewed armatures or flyers. The plastic detail would be issued instead of plastic or separately applied metal parts. But the details is a subjective question. Many modelers are happy with the poorest models that meet their needs prototype. I fall into that category.
I have some early brass engines are not can be compared in detail to recently published locomotives with plastic body. But I like the engine may not be available except as an early version bronze. More modern models with fine details and better methods will invariably cost more, even if made in China. For a more definitive answer, I would contact the Southern Railway Historical Society as to whether South models of locomotives and cars are accurate.
I glanced at the cars Riva Rossi Walther on the list. These are pretty generic, the level of 1930 vintage Heavyweight Passenger cars, painted in the south of the Crescent. I doubt that they are truly prototype. I would sense they are reasonable family car running. Depending on the time of Your Model that might be out of date, as I would sense that South Crescent, like a train first-class passengers, were used early lightweight streamlined Passenger Cars.
Snap theme is fine but needs care in the establishment, like any monitoring system. Their main problem is a limited amount of different radii. Probably the best and most expensive, track system is a kind of complement of Kato track. Not compatible with other brands. Atlas is well yet their devices via snaps are very limiting. I would use his usual line of switches in place. It kills with easy track. They do not feed that means you have to attach an operating lever engine or the point to change tracks.
I'm not a fan of DCC, because I have many more locomotives to DCC would be difficult to change and too expensive. For someone just starting DCC provides the advantage of running more than one locomotive in the common parts of your design without having to sever the electronic submission.
You save wiring, switches, etc. Make sure your locomotives are Dcc Equipped or convertible. Couplers are a big question. It still cheaper use the horrible "standard" hook / Horn model. The best to use a magnetic coupler compatible with the brand named "Kadee".
Can handle "Kadee" a more modern locomotives and cars manufactured. It uncouple insertion with a magnet on the slopes. The original "Kadee" couplings are better but more expensive than those that are copies. "Kadee" are metal more copies are largely plastic. Everyone needs careful adjustment. Kadee makes a cold meter for this.

Maryland is a southern state or a state in the north?
On the map at my school, it showed that Maryland was part of the south but in an atlas, he said it was North'm here in Florida, it seems far north for me.
Maryland was the seventh State to ratify the U.S. Constitution and bears two nicknames, the Maryland Free State. Its history as a border state has led to have characteristics both northern and southern regions of the United States. Generally, rural Western Maryland like the West Virginia Panhandle and South East Shore of Maryland emulate a Southern culture, while densely populated Central Maryland radiating outwards from the Baltimore Beltway Washington exhibits characteristics of North-East.
