True Track
I'm asking because my neighbor is refusing to vote because she claims that collection agencies will find her. She said by voting, collection agencies will get her address and phone number. Is this true? I found her answer disturbing considering her vote is very important this year.
Not true. Collection Agencies would violate the law if they had access to voting rolls. If any Collection Agency violates the election laws, the FBI and local police would raid their offices and arrest them. Anyone who was harassed by a collection agency due to information obtained through voter rolls could probably sue for civil damages.
Also if she is being told this by Republican operatives, she should call the local police or the local FBI. Such action is "voter suppression" and it is illegal.
The GOP will break the laws to stop people from voting. We need to throw them in jail.
