Loco Engine
on new LT and RT switch track the train will no follow the track, is goes Straight good, I can see the track moving over but the train still wants to go Straight, Ive tried it engine only and with the cars attached, the engine is a 6 wheeler Steam Loco.
The part of the switch that moves is called the point rails. When you move the point rails over to throw the switch ,is there anything holding the points against the stock rail? If not then the locomotive can "pick the points " and move them over, causing the train to run straight instead of making the curve. Try holding the points over under pressure and see what happens Sometimes you need to raise the point rails with a thin shim. There are times when locomotives or cars are out of gauge{the wheels are spread too far apart} But this problem is usually seen at the frog and not at the points. Try using different cars on there own. Roll them through by hand ,and see what happens. Try running the locomotive through in reverse and see what happens. Do you have any other switches on your set? Does this locomotive work well on these ones? Is the track mounted on a board? Track should be mounted on a smooth surface for best results
Blue Line
There is a blue line that marks the path for the skiers to ski down the hill to the finish line. How do they paint that there? What do they use and how paints it?
i was watching the winter x games (snow boarding) and they said that is is the same stuff that they use on snow cones to give them the flavor (no joke), because paint does not work on ice or snow! -emily, 13- p.s. go shaun white!!
Motion Switch
I bought a GE Motion Sensing switch that I want to install. The problem is that the son device power are not the colors I'm used to. There are two identical black son and a green wire. Obviously, green is ground, but can I connect the "hot" wire to the wall either black wire on the motion detection unit? I'm used to seeing a black white and green on the devices I install so I know where neutral wire and hot wire to go, but with two black I do not know if it matters who is connected to the warm thanks and connected to neutral. I surfed the site GE and cannot even find the product much less instructions. also help the whole package indicates that the device is only good for a single pole switch. I think, a bedroom with a single switch. Most of my rooms have multiple switches to turn the light off and if I do not think that it will work in most of my rooms.
Switches are always 2 hot son. You should not even worry about your neutral until all the whites ares spliced. When you take the single pole Switch Out there should be two "hots" addicted to it. It suffices to replace.
