Layout Use
I see a lot of layout sites that have the SAME layouts and yet I get people saying that I should use and make my own. Why do that when other layout sites have the same layouts, photography, pixels, graphics, etc.?
You don't need your own layouts it is just more professional to have something of your own design.
Manual Left
1990 f150 xlt 5.0 with five speed manual what trannys can I put in or use in my truck? I don't care if I have to cut floor boards to accomidate shifters and the truck has a body lift so lots of room. What I need is a list of manual trannys that bolt up to my 302. Preferably one that sits higher than my old one. can I take a manual trans out of a big block truck that has a 460? don't want automatics. want tough 4x4 manual trans. 1 day ago - 2 days left to answer.
Ford used a Mazda designed 5 spd in the early 1990's in the 150's and a ZF design in the 250-350's. The ZF is an HD unit that may fit. Just be SURE to get one for the 5.8 liter engine. When you decide on one be sure to also pick up the driveshaft , mount and shifter. You may also may have to change your clutch disc. Sometimes you will have to mix and match parts to get something to work. When this is the case make a notebook and put it in the glove box so you will know what you need if you ever have to replace a part. Sorry to say the 460 has a different bolt pattern and one from a 4wd would also need the transfer case. Also get to know your local auto recycler as he can give you info on what later models will interchange. Another place to check is www.car-parts.com
Great Layout
I want a really good site. Like "sunshine" layouts for example. But I want one that not a lot of people know. "Sunshine" has a lot of great layouts, but too many people know that site. I want something a little less public. Does this make sense? Thank you!
